Meet Randy
Randy knows rural life, because he’s lived it. Born and raised in Illinois, he spent five years working and living on his family farm, and later served as a union steward, standing up for working men and women. Rural communities have been overlooked for too long. Randy thinks it’s time for a Democrat who puts rural America first and fights for working families.
His top priority is the well-being of the people of the 15th District. He knows that cutting benefits would hurt families and weaken the rural community health centers people depend on.
Priorities for Illinois
Our fiscal house is unsustainable. Huge tax breaks to those who need them least have driven up the deficit without lowering costs for working families.If we do nothing, rising debt will mean higher interest rates, making it more expensive to buy a house, buy a car, or farm equipment. We need responsible budgeting and a fair tax policy that puts working families first and protects the future of our rural communities.

As we wrap up this portion of my timeline, my sincere thanks go out to the great people I have met over the last ten months. County chairs, volunteers and most of all the people who got energized somehow by this campiagn.
I thought we had the right message delivered by the right guy. In turn, getting 11% of the vote proved that we did not.
What's next? Well I have to lose the extra 20 I picked up on the trail. (meetings at 6:30 or 7p, 2 1/2 hours away, means not very healthy alternatives.) , I'll be back in the gym soon, riding my bike and working on that. After that, I'm not sure. Will have to work off the debts, but I knew that was going to happen win or lose.
We will be deleteing this page tomorrow.
From everyone at campaign headquarters, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all the work you put in on this foray into politics. I am not running again, it's obvious we didn't have our pulse on the district.
Congrats to Dr. Paul who ran a great race and Jennifer Todd, with her ability to connect, will be a great representative.

While I'm still licking my wounds, I want anyone and everyone who reads this page to know, I am 100% in her corner, she worked very hard to get this nomination.
